THE TORCH DOHA RECEIVES "BEST INTERNATIONAL HOTEL" AWARD AT…
THE TORCH DOHA received a World’s Best International Hotel Award for Best Hotel category from the International Hotel Awards sponsored by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The best hotels and hospitality related companies from more than 47 countries across the world have been competing to achieve one or more coveted International Hotel Awards.
The finest hoteliers from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, the UK and the Americas and winners were revealed at a glamorous gala dinner at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Monday, January 26th 2015, following scrutiny by the International Hotel Awards’ judging panel, chaired by Sir David Michels, Retired CEO of Hilton Hotels.
World’s Best awards were given out for the world’s most impressive hotels for a variety of categories and property types. A highly experienced team of professionals who cover the whole range of hospitality disciplines judged entries prepared by the hotels and selected the winners. To obtain a World’s Best award, a hotel must first be successful competing against entrants in its own country before competing against other hotels in its region and obtaining an International Nomination. The International Nominees from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, UK and the Americas were again evaluated and only one for each category was named the International winner.
THE TORCH DOHA – member of Leading Hotels of the World, is the flagship project situated at the heart of Doha’s Sports City, Aspire Zone. The 5-star luxury hotel opened its doors to visitors in November 2011.
Commenting on the event, Hotel Manager Sherif Sabry, says: “It is a wonderful start for 2015 for our hotel. It is highly rewarding to be recognized in the International hospitality industry as a Best Hotel. We are proudly representing Qatar in the worldwide hospitality scene as the premier venue for those who are searching for state-of-the-art accommodation with high-end technology and fitness facilities, in a prime location - Aspire Zone. We are committed to maintain our luxury and service excellence standards.”
Stuart Shield, president of the International Hotel Awards, says, “This is the fourth year of the International Hotel Awards. Its aim is to highlight excellence in the luxury hotel industry and praise the outstanding levels of service and style. The competition also boasts specialist categories to further spotlight the most outstanding spa, convention and golf hotels. Smaller luxury hotels are also featured as these specialise in delivering a more intimate environment for those seeking a quieter and more relaxing experience.”
“With many five-star hotels offering an exemplary service on a 24-hour a day basis, we feel honoured to be able to highlight those that are making an art out of the process. They really do deserve recognition for all the effort they put into their business as well as their overall presentation and innovation.”
