The Torch Doha gets ready to celebrate 1 year of operation
The Torch Doha, a member of Leading Hotels of the World opened its doors to public in November 2011 and currently prepares to celebrate one year of operation in the luxury hotel market, as the flagship project situated at the heart of Doha's Sports City, Aspire Zone.
Throughout the years The Torch became an iconic landmark of Qatari hospitality. Its first year of operation marked the visit of sports personalities attending conferences and world class football teams who chose Aspire Zone facilities as ideal for preparation stages.
General Manager of The Torch, Gerhard Foltin said, "The hotel concept is captivating: the rooms with their top feature - the new iPad solution, the revolving restaurant with its panoramic views and the cantilevered pool, highest in Doha are some of the main attractions. Not last is the hotel's iconic silhouette standing high on Doha's skyline. We had to focus on keeping our service standards high, to match the rich design and technology concepts."
All meeting rooms at The Torch are equipped with state-of-the-art presentation and audio-video facilities. The video-conferencing system allows communication with four different destinations simultaneously and the meeting rooms are equipped with high definition LCD/ Plasma screen, which can display any content from iPad or PC.
The recent introduction of the "In-Room iPad Solution" highlights the hotel's "preoccupation for subtle hi-tech features", which facilitate "speed of service and better communication" between guests and staff members.
"We are aware that technology plays a vital role in enticing the luxury travelers and encourages them to choose between properties, return to the same property and recommend us further to others. They have become more informed and discerning lately. And this is why we always try to keep them entertained and engaged with our service. We have designed our public areas with comfortable sofas, interactive screens, live TV and complimentary WiFi so that guests spend time socialising and working", Foltin reveals.
The hotel's professional audio system distributes individually different music to every single outlet and public area.
Adding to the media electronic system at The Torch is the hotel's digital signage system, which displays high-definition videos, live TV, imagery and flash.
The exterior of The Torch Doha Hotel is equipped with coloured LED facade lights and three large screens which are synchronised to display images and broadcast high-definition movies.
"At night The Torch stands out illuminated by our 3,500 LED lights which create an eye-catching effect for locals and visitors. Certainly a not-to-be-missed location", Gerhard Foltin said.
